This dish perfectly met my demands. Quick? 10 to 15 minutes to prep and 20 to 25 to bake? YEP. Simple? Extremely so. But delicious? No. It was BEYOND delicious! You just gotta give this a try. Really really.
You Need:
- 1 can of Crescent Rolls
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese, grated
- salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a 9x13" baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a pan, crumble up and cook your breakfast sausage.
- Press the unrolled sheet of crescent rolls (DO NOT separate them) into the bottom and up the sides of your baking dish.
- Sprinkle the cooked sausage on top of the dough.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of the cheese over the sausage.
- Beat your eggs with the garlic powder and milk and pour them over the sausage layer.
- Top with remaining cup of Jack cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or til eggs are set. If the eggs aren't fully cooked yet but the crust is getting too dark, simply throw some foil on top and bake for a bit longer.
- Remove from oven, salt and pepper to taste. Slice and serve that baby up and get ready for the yumminess to wash over you!
